So this week we played the Canucks, Oilers, and Flames in their respective homes. All we ever hear is how crazy Canadians are for their hockey, yet, these past 3 games I swear I could have heard a pin drop (besides when a goal was scored). But in all seriousness I feel like the atmosphere at Canes home games far exceeds what I've seen from these Canadian teams. Even though attendance isn't great I feel like our crowds either care more, or, just want to have more fun. I guess I'm not sure exactly what the difference is but I can't wait to take in a Canes game in person this year. For those of you that attend the games, keep up the atmosphere because it can really make a difference for the team. It also comes through on the TV and helps the viewer feel like the game matters more. I am disappointed to come away with only 2 points from this past week but we are still right in the thick of things, so let's get behind this team and help the boys out! Go Canes!
