Catching up on more news from last week, it has been reported that defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani has signed to play in the KHL next season. It looked like Dmitry Chesnokov reported this first on Twitter, then it was picked up on ProHockeyTalk
Gragnani only played one game for the Hurricanes this past year and fought injuries for part of the season while with the Checkers.
He did have a nice point streak going at one part of the season. The former Sabre/Canuck finished with a stat line of 3G 24A and a -10 in 42 games for the Checkers.
His spot will most likely be filled by one of the youngsters, Austin Levi, Danny Biega, and/or Keegan Lowe, among others, who will be fighting for a place on the blueline in training camp next fall.
