Keith Yandle

I read an article on the Hockey Prospectus By Cory. Really made me think that we really need to trade for Keith Yandle.

Yes, I know its not an easy trade to accomplish. I know most have had enough of the trade Skinner chatter. Think of it this way. We need help on our backend. Lets not be blinded buy the moves we made this offseason. We are still going to have some issues. Sekera and Mike can only do so much and Komi is not even a given at this point. He could end up being worse than McBain. Is Timmy going to regain his form? When is Harry going to start regressing? Can Pits and Faulk stay healthy? Will Murphy be anything more than a MAB clone? Thats a lot of ifs and questions. You start having this many "what ifs" and a few of them go wrong and we are in the top 5 of the draft again.

We need help still. I like our moves as a whole, I like our additions and also our addition by subtractions. Is it going to be enough. Could JR pry Yandle out of the desert? Would you offer a crazy deal just to get it done? I might at this point. Adding Yandle to our D really improves the whole unit top to bottom. Imagine Keith playing with Faulk for the next 8-10 years? Say we even keep Joni and Tim, we would be such a better team.

I know you will all hate it but the trade to make it happen.

Skinner, Murphy and our 2014 1st rd pick

for Yandle

I know its a steep price to pay but it would improve our D by a long shot and I think we could survive the loss of "Boy Wonder"
