Defense via trade

JR has a history of targeting players and holding on like a pit bull until the time/trade value is right, and Sekara was the latest example of that. I look for that again as teams position compliance and free agent money vs the cap and move players to accommodate over priced free agents.

The only free agent he has paid a lot for was Semin- and that a one year deal at the time. Don't expect Canes to be in the hunt early for free agent defenseman; if JR is not satisfied with the D corps now, he will trade or stay young and small.
