The SB Nation rules say that we have to recap the game from tonight. So here you go: Brock McGinn scored twice, then added the shootout winner and Sebastian Aho also scored as the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 in the final game of their season.
Now onto what really matters: Bill Peters made good on his promise from last night, nearly admitting outright that he made a mistake in not sending Bryan Bickell out for the shootout in the Canes’ loss to the St. Louis Blues. The hockey gods provided him with a mulligan Sunday night, in Bickell’s final game, and Peters didn’t miss a beat.
And then, the storybook ending that everyone hoped for actually happened.

Pretty cool of the Flyers to give fist bumps to Bickell after his goal pic.twitter.com/l53s808IZ9
