The Hurricanes have made another lateral move disguised as a win-now trade. Stewart for a fourth-line grinder like Westgarth would be a pretty even-production swap, but why throw in a couple of draft picks (late-round lottery picks though they may be?) Time will tell, but it seems like the prospect movement may be falling off before our eyes.

Lockout: It's Over

In what appears to be an end to this terrible lockout, a tentative deal has been reached with still more work to do. Most importantly it looks like we could have around a 40-50 game schedule starting as early as mid January according this article. Anyway, I know we still have to wait for more specifics, but it looks as if were gonna have some form of Hurricanes Hockey!
