All Us Boys - (part three)

Noah Babin...

Babin is a defenseman who was draft eligible in 2002, but went undrafted at the time. He played 3 years for the University of Notre Dame and was signed by the Hurricanes to a 2 year contract last Spring, primarily because of the advice of Ron Francis. He played 11 games for the River Rats last year and scored 1 goal and had 6 assists. The defenseman played in a total of 104 games for Notre Dame and had 8 goals with 19 assists. He's listed at 6'0, 190 LBS and has a right handed shot. Babin is an interesting story in that he's one of just a very few home-grown Florida products close to making it in the NHL! Below are some links to more information about Noah Babin.

The Canes drafted Bowman in the 3rd round this year. He’s another American born player. One listing has him from Michigan, another from Colorado, so maybe we'll have to ask him where he's from! Right now he's playing for the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL. Listed at 6’0 and 185 LBS, he shoots from the left side. Bowman scored 24 goals and 19 assists last year in 61 games playing at the center and left wing positions. For more information, check the links below.
