On the Carolina Newswire service this morning, there was some Carolina Hurricanes related news. Realtor Linda Craft and REMAX One Realty, a major supporter of the Hurricanes is sponsoring a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday, September 10th. All donors will receive a gift bag and will be entered in a drawing to win free Carolina Hurricanes tickets in the new "Champions Club" section. People sitting in this section enjoy free food and beverages throughout the game. If you haven't given blood in awhile, now is a good time. The Red Cross is in dire need of all types.
Also keep in mind that the Pete Friesen 5K is this weekend. If you haven't signed up for that yet, it's not too late. Several Carolina Hurricanes will be present and they will have memorabilia give-aways after the run. Not only that, you can also enjoy a free pancake breakfast! For more information, check out this page. It's for a great cause, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Later today the Canes will be unveiling their new jersey. As soon as I hear anything about it, I'll be posting information here. I don't expect that there will be any shocking changes, but who knows?
