PEPSI INTRODUCES HURRICANES-THEMED CANS Hurricanes prizes available in Pepsi’s "Win a Taste of the ‘Canes" Contest RALEIGH, NC— Ben Aycock, Director of Marketing and Brand Development for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced a new partnership campaign with Pepsi, called "PEPSI – Win a Taste of the ‘Canes." The campaign centers around a series of six Hurricanes-inspired cans for Pepsi products, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew. The new can designs, which feature pictures of Hurricanes players, can be purchased at participating retailers statewide. More than 28 million Hurricanes-themed cans will be distributed. The grand prizes for the contest are six Hurricanes-themed vending machines that will be given away on Hurricanes Fan Appreciation Day. The Hurricanes will play the first of four consecutive road games on Saturday night, when they take on the Buffalo Sabres at HSBC Arena (7 p.m., FS Carolinas, Hurricanes Radio Network). The Hurricanes will also travel to Toronto, Pittburgh and New York before returning to the RBC Center on Thursday, Jan. 29, to host the Tampa Bay Lightning.
