This week's oogle-worthy player comes to us from Trumball, CT (which coincidentally is only about a 20 minute drive from my aunt's home). Chris Drury is an all American guy (he even won the Little League World Series at the age of 13) that attended Boston University and has been lucky enough to find stardom at the NHL level. In fact he's only the second American born captain in Rangers' history. Another fun little fact to throw out at cocktail parties-he's the only player in the history of the NHL to win both the Hobey Baker Memorial Award and the Calder Memorial Trophy. His season has not gone well as he's seen his role reduced to a 4th liner (sound familiar ladies?) and only put up 14 points in 33 games, but Rangers' faithful have hope that he will return to his 60+ point form. But if hockey doesn't pan out, perhaps he has a second career as model waiting in the wings?
