The Carolina Hurricanes are in Atlanta this evening for a quick exhibition matchup with the Thrashers. Neither team has won this preseason, so something has got to give for one of them. The Canes will be resting their top two lines, (which played Friday night) and will be starting the third and fourth lines, minus Jussi Jokinen, who had been in a yellow, no-touch jersey up until today. Carolina's confirmed lineup is as follows:
- Brind'Amour, Samsonov, Walker
- Yelle, Kostopoulos, Conboy
- Sutter, Boychuk, Bowman
- Ryan, Dwyer, Goertzen
- Harrison, Carson
- Wallin, Alberts
- Rodney, McBain
- Leighton, Peters
Coach Paul Maurice wants to give the young line of Sutter-Bowman-Boychuk plenty of work. Could this line be magic for the Hurricanes in the years to come?
Atlanta's lineup will reportedly have several regulars:
- Kovalchuk, Antropov, Little
- Kozlov-White-Peverley
- Fritsche-Reasoner-Armstrong
- Boulton-Slater-Thorburn
- Hainsey- Kubina
- Enstrom- Postma
- Vernace- Popovic
- Hedberg- Legace
There is no streaming that we are aware of yet for this game, but stay tuned, we will be looking and will have any updates as we find out after the game starts. Otherwise, join us as we listen to Chuck on 99.9 The Fan and make comments here on the game thread.
