The Philadelphia Flyers, (9-4-2) are in town to do battle with the Carolina Hurricanes, (8-7) tonight at the RBC. The two teams just met last week Monday in Philadelphia and the Flyers skated to a 3-2 win as Justin Peters picked up his second loss of the season for Carolina.
Cam Ward will get the start for the Canes tonight.
The Hurricanes have won two games in a row and three of their last four. The Flyers lost to the Washington Capitals in overtime in their last contest on Sunday. They had won six games in a row prior to that loss.
Surprise rookie sensation Sergei Bobrovsky will be in net for the Flyers. That should make for a good matchup between the pipes.
The Hurricanes found their scoring touch in recent games and have scored 17 goals in their last three games on RBC ice. The home team is led in scoring by their own rookie sensation, Jeff Skinner and team captain, Eric Staal.
The lines should be as follows:
- Staal, Samsonov, LaRose
- Sutter, Tlusty, Dwyer
- Ruutu, Cole, Skinner
- Matsumoto, Kostopoulos, Jokinen
- Gleason, Corvo
- Pitkanen, Babchuk
- Harrison, McBain
Sergei Samsonov currently has the team's longest scoring streak with points in four straight games. Erik Cole and Tuomo Ruutu have each registered points in three straight.
Cam Ward will be making his fifth consecutive start in a row.
The Flyers are led in scoring by the versatile Claude Giroux and team captain, Mike Richards.

The Canes have not had the best of luck against the Flyers in the recent past. They lost all four games to Philadelphia last season and the Flyboys have a 13-0-3 record against Carolina in their last 16 meetings.
