Hurricanes At Blues: Game Day Preview

The Carolina Hurricanes, (11-12-4) are now in St. Louis to complete their eighth set of back-to-back games this season.  So far they are 4-1-3 in the first games, and 2-4-1 in the second games of those sets.

The St. Louis Blues, (14-9-4) are currently riding a two game winning streak.  They are 5-4-1 in their last ten games while the Canes are 3-3-4 in their last ten and 1-2-2 in their last five.

The Carolina team arrived late and did not have a morning skate today.  There is no confirmation who the starting goaltender will be, but most likely Cam Ward will get the nod since the team is coming off a long break.  The Canes competed in a tough, physical matchup last night in Dallas and skated away with a 2-1 shootout loss.

Jiri Tlusty is the only Hurricanes player who is currently streaking as he has goals in two consecutive games.

What will the lines be?  Tune in tonight to find out.

The Blues are not exactly known as a high scoring team and are led in scoring by David Backes, Alexander Steen, and Andy McDonald.  They have notched a total of 71 goals so far this season while the Canes have scored 76.  But they have allowed 73 while the Canes have allowed 86.
