Philadelphia Flying High: Tuesday's Playoff Games Open Thread

There are five NHL playoff games on tap tonight including another Phoenix - Detroit contest and this one is vitally important to both teams.  The Coyotes currently have a 2-1 lead in the series, but momentum in the playoffs is a tenuous thing.  If Detroit wins tonight, they could very easily pull "Mo" over to their side.  The Coyotes will be without the services of their captain, Shane Doan, who is out tonight because of an injury.

Peter Laviolette's Flyers are hoping to take a commanding 3-1 lead against New Jersey.  This series has to be a surprise to most.  "Lavi" must be doing something right in the "City of Brothery Love."

The Penguins look like they finally woke up against the Sens.  Matt Cullen scored a nice goal in the last game, but Ottawa needs more than that to get by last year's World Champs.

Chicago and Nashvile are all even at one game apiece.  Look for Chicago to break out in this one.

Then there is the San Jose - Colorado matchup in which the Avs have the advantage so far.  After Dan Boyle's own goal the other night, Sharks fans have to be wondering, what will go wrong next?

Of course, the River Rats are moving on to the next round.  They are waiting for the winner of the Hershey - Bridgeport series in which the Bears have a 3-1 lead.  Most are assuming that last year's champs will be facing Albany, but maybe the Sound Tigers will have something to say about that tonight tomorrow night?
