Rats Try To Even It Up: Sunday's Open Thread

The Albany River Rats lost to the Hershey Bears 4-3 in overtime last night as the Bears took a 1-0 lead in the series.  Jerome Samson had two goals and Drayson Bowman added another which rounded out the scoring for the "Junior Canes."

Justin Peters was the MVP for Albany though as he stopped 44 of 48 shots on goal, some of them in spectacular fashion.  The River Rats were outshot 11-3 in the overtime period, and 48 to 28 for the game. They will need to improve.

The teams renew their rivalry and battle again tonight starting at 5 p.m.
