HURRICANES RECALL TIM CONBOY FROM ALBANY
Defenseman will be available to play in tonight’s game against Montreal
RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled defenseman Tim Conboy from Albany of the American Hockey League (AHL). Conboy will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Montreal Canadiens at the RBC Center.
Conboy, 28, played in 11 games with the Hurricanes this season before being assigned to Albany on Nov. 18. In 35 games with the River Rats this season, the Minneapolis, MN, native had earned three assists and totaled 62 penalty minutes. Signed as a free agent on July 21, 2006, Conboy has totaled six assists and 119 penalty minutes in 58 career NHL games with the Hurricanes.
