From the Hurricanes: HURRICANES EXHIBITION GAME AT FLORIDA CANCELED South Florida under a tropical storm warning RALEIGH, NC – The National Hockey League today announced that the exhibition game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 29, has been canceled. South Florida is currently under a tropical storm warning, with effects expected to be felt in the region within the next 36 hours. The game will not be rescheduled. The Carolina Hurricanes complete their 2010 exhibition schedule on Friday, Oct. 1, as they host the Atlanta Thrashers at 1:30 p.m. Following the game, the team will depart for St. Petersburg, Russia. Carolina will play an exhibition game on Oct. 4, against SKA St. Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League, before traveling to Helsinki, Finland, for two regular-season games against the Minnesota Wild as a part of the 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere.
