Drayson Bowman Recalled: Hurricanes at Predators, Game Day Preview

That didn't take long.  Just a day or two after assigning him to the Charlotte Checkers, the Carolina Hurricanes, (1-4-0) recalled forward Drayson Bowman to the team for it's final exhibition game tonight against the Nashville Predators, (6-1-0).  Jussi Jokinen and Chad LaRose will be sitting this one out because of minor injuries.

The lines are expected to start out as follows:

  • Ponikarovsky, Staal, Dalpe
  • Stewart, Ruutu, Skinner
  • Dwyer, Sutter, Tlusty
  • Bowman, Brent, Nash
  • Faulk, Gleason
  • McBain, Joslin
  • Allen, Murphy

Brian Boucher will be in net.

Joni Pitkanen is reportedly also suffering from a minor injury.  As you can see, rookie Ryan Murphy will get another shot in this game.

The Canes have not had the greatest of preseasons and after last night's loss are sporting a 1-4-0 record.

The Preds, on the other hand, are having an excellent preseason and lead the Central Division with a 6-1-0 record.  Will this success translate to regular season success?  We will see.

Buddy, over at Preds on the Glass has the expected Nashville lineup. Check the lineup out at the following link:

Nashville Predators lineup 10/1/11

Unlike last week in Raleigh, it looks like Pekka Rinne will be in net and Shea Weber will be patrolling the blueline.  For more info about the Preds, check out On the Forecheck.

Can the Hurricanes break out with a win in their last tune up contest before games start counting?

At this time there does not seem to be a live stream of the game, but we will be looking, so check back in our Open Thread at game time for an update about that.  The puck drops at 8 Eastern.
