Canes Recall Justin Faulk - Reassign Zac Dalpe

The Carolina Hurricanes announced that they recalled defenseman Justin Faulk from Charlotte this afternoon.  Faulk made the team out of training camp, but was sent down to the minors because the team already had eight blueliners on their roster.  Is this move a prelude to a trade, or will the team bench someone?

Joni Pitkanen has been nursing an injury and has been unable to play in recent games.

The Canes also sent Zac Dalpe back to the Checkers.  Dalpe fought an injury himself earlier this season and has had minimal ice time during his most recent stint with the big club.

Check out the team's presser after the jump.
