All Quiet On The Ian White Front

New, comments
Ian White of the Carolina Hurricanes is on the trading block.
Ian White of the Carolina Hurricanes is on the trading block.

Ian White skated at the Carolina Hurricanes limited practice today, (only nine skaters were on the ice.)  White was held out of the morning skate yesterday and sat in the press box did not dress for the game against the New Jersey Devils.  Usually when that happens, a deal is pending or is imminent for said player.

Apparently, something either went wrong or there are multiple parties involved in these discussions, but no one is talking to the public right now.

Paul Branecky reported after practice today that coach Paul Maurice said the situation was "day-to-day."

Will White play in tomorrow's game against the Flyers?  We will see.

In other news, Ryan Carter was also on the ice, but Maurice said that it's doubtful that he'll be ready to go tomorrow.  Jerome Samson remains in town and is ready to fill in again.
