Hurricanes Deal Ian White to San Jose Sharks

The long awaited trade has finally been announced.  The Hurricanes traded defenseman Ian White to San Jose for the Sharks second round pick in 2012.

We can probably assume that today's deals are a prelude of more to come, but time will tell.

The Hurricanes presser is after the jump.  Best of luck to White over on the left coast.
