Three Hurricanes players will be helping mentor NHL stars of the future next week.

Jeff Skinner, Zac Dalpe, and Canes newcomer Tim Brent are among 17 NHL players participating in the Allstate All-Canadian Mentorship Camp to be held August 3rd-6th at The Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.  42 bantam-aged players (1996 birthdates) have been selected to participate in the camp.  Sponsored by the NHLPA and led by Gary Roberts, the camp features advice on strength and conditioning, nutrition, mental preparation, life skills, and hockey tips, culminating in a Mentorship Cup game on August 6th.

From the Mentorship Camp blog:

When you look at the diverse group of bantam-aged talent and the various NHLPA members scheduled to attend, the opportunities for life-changing mentorship moments are almost too numerous to count.

If you are picturing Jeff Skinner showing the next generation or Canadian snipers his shooting techniques then well, you’ve got the right idea.

Camp updates will be provided throughout the week on the Allstate All-Canadians website and also on their Facebook page.
