The Carolina Hurricanes will hold a team scrimmage at noon on Tuesday and recalled three more players from the Charlotte Checkers to participate. Zac Dalpe, Riley Nash, and Brett Sutter have made the trip to Raleigh and will join other Checkers forwards, Drayson Bowman, Zach Boychuk, Jeremy Welsh and Tim Wallace in the fray.

CANES RECALL DALPE, NASH AND SUTTER FROM CHARLOTTE
Forwards will join team’s training camp on Tuesday
RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forwards Zac Dalpe, Riley Nash and Brett Sutter from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). The trio will join the Hurricanes’ training camp as the team will scrimmage at Raleigh Center Ice at noon on Tuesday (please note time change from original schedule release).
Dalpe, 23, leads all Checkers skaters this season with a plus-14 plus/minus rating, and is second on the team with 28 points (13g, 15a). The Paris, Ont., native is in his fourth professional season and has scored four goals and earned three assists (7 points) in 31 career NHL games with Carolina. The Hurricanes drafted Dalpe (6’1", 190 lbs.) in the second round, 45th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Nash, 23, ranks tied for sixth among Charlotte skaters with 21 points (7g, 14a) and is tied for second among team forwards with a plus-8 plus/minus rating. The Consort, Alb., native made his NHL debut in 2011-12, and earned one assist in five games with the Hurricanes. Carolina acquired Nash from Edmonton on June 26, 2010, in exchange for a second-round draft pick.
Sutter, 25, is serving his second consecutive year as the Checkers’ captain, and currently ranks fifth on the team with 11 goals and eighth on the team with 20 points. The Viking, Alb., native is in his sixth professional season and played in a career-high 15 NHL games with Carolina in 2011-12, registering three assists. Since making his NHL debut with Calgary on Dec. 23, 2008, Sutter (6’0", 200 lbs.) has earned five points (1g, 4a) in 34 career NHL games with the Flames and the Hurricanes. Carolina acquired Sutter from Calgary via trade on Nov. 17, 2010.
