212 — Rank of Carolina’s Ryan Murphy, tied with 22 others, in shots on goal (13 in five games) in the NHL this season, the best of any Hurricanes player and the lowest among any team leader. Kings forwards Jeff Carter and Justin Williams each have 19 shots, ranking ahead of Murphy for the fewest shots by a player leading his team.

Carolina does have 10 players with double digit totals in shots, but only four of them have scored this season. Murphy is among those who is yet to register a goal.
