Canes Announce Seven-Game Preseason Slate; Two Games At PNC Arena

The Carolina Hurricanes announced their 2014 preseason schedule Tuesday. The team will play seven games, including two at PNC Arena against Columbus and Buffalo.

The Carolina Hurricanes will kick off its 2014 preseason schedule at home Sept. 21 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the first of seven exhibitions the team will play ahead of the 2014-15 season. The Canes will also host Buffalo on Oct. 3, plus play five road games: one each against their two home opponents, Columbus and Buffalo, and games at the New York Islanders, St. Louis and Washington.

HURRICANES ANNOUNCE 2014 EXHIBITION SCHEDULE
Carolina to host Columbus and Buffalo at PNC Arena

RALEIGH, NC – Brian Tatum, Assistant General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced the team’s 2014 exhibition schedule. Carolina will play seven exhibition games prior to the opening of the 2014-15 NHL regular season, including two games at PNC Arena. Ticket onsale information will be announced in the near future.

The Hurricanes will kick off their preseason schedule in Raleigh on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1:30 p.m., against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Carolina will then play four road exhibition games before hosting the Buffalo Sabres at PNC Arena on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. The Hurricanes will round out their seven-game preseason slate at Washington on Sunday, Oct. 5.
