I thought it would be interesting to scan over some of the plethora of mock drafts and ratings out there to see who shows up most often at number seven.
Just a reminder, we will have an open thread starting on Friday afternoon and running through the night, as well as all day Saturday, for draft discussion, (and anything else that might come up.) Brian LeBlanc will be covering the draft from Philadelphia and Cory and I will be chiming in from the PNC. Hope to see everyone here!
The following are the seventh selections or seventh rated prospects along with the corresponding site:
Bob McKenzie's rankings - Jake Virtanen
McKeen's - Jake Virtanen
Craig Button- Haydn Fleury
ISS Hockey - Jake Virtanen

Draft Site - Nikolaj Ehlers
Kevin Allen USA Today - Kasperi Kapanen

So, Jake Virtanen shows up eight times, Nick Ritchie, six times, Nikolaj Ehlers four, and Nylander, Fleury, and Dal Colle three times each. All of this doesn't mean too much, but it is interesting to see.
If any of you find others, please feel free to list them in comments.
Last weekend, I participated in a mock draft on TSN1260, Edmonton Radio and chose Michael Dal Colle, as he was the best player available when it came to my choice. Check that out here: TSN1260 Mock Draft
