The Carolina Hurricanes recently announced that they will begin their on-ice training camp sessions on Friday, September 18, at 8:45 am. The club has invited six goalies, 19 defensemen, and 32 forwards for a total of 57 skaters to participate, with 20 of these 57 recently playing in the Traverse City Tournament.
They divided the players into three groups which means there will be three practice sessions a morning, at least until Sunday, when they will have a scrimmage as part of the annual Caniac Carnival. All practice sessions are open to the public (except for September 19 and October 3).
Monday night the preseason schedule begins with a match in Washington which is followed by a game in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

Eric Staal, Noah Hanifin, and James Wisniewski are in group C.
Jordan Staal, Justin Faulk, Eddie Lack, and Haydn Fleury are among group B.
Elias Lindholm, Cam Ward, and Victor Rask are included in group A.
In other news, the prospects lost their final game of the Traverse City tournament to the Blues, 5-1, giving them a 2-2 record. Phil Di Giuseppe had the lone goal, giving him three for the tourney.
Sergey Tolchinsky was also one of the headliners. We will see if he can continue performing well in training camp.
