Jeff Skinner made a great play behind the net to catch the Oilers off guard and get the puck in front, and Stempniak took care of the rest. Victor Rask got the secondary assist on the goal, his second point of the evening.
Stempniak now has three goals and two assists on the year, leading the Hurricanes in both goals and points.
