A carry-over powerplay in the second period proved fruitful for the Canes as Justin Faulk put the road team on top.

The Carolina Hurricanes struggled on their first powerplay of the night, but they rectified it early in period number two.

Off a feed from rookie Sebastian Aho, Justin Faulk ripped a wrist shot on net from the point and past Flyers goalie Steve Mason. The puck seemingly deflected off of Philadelphia’s rookie blueliner Ivan Provorov prior to finding the back of the net.

It’s Faulk’s second goal of the season and his fifth point in five games.
