Watch: Lee Stempniak Nets His Fourth Goal in Five Games

Carolina’s top scoring line did what they do best late in period two, score.

Jamie Kellner

A string of four unanswered goals from the Flyers put the Carolina Hurricanes down 4-2 entering the final stages of period number two, but the Canes’ best forward line came through as they have so many times in this young season.

Jeff Skinner disrupted a clearing attempt in the Flyers’ zone, got it down to Victor Rask, and the big Swede found Lee Stempniak streaking towards the net.

Each member of the dangerous trio has netted six points in five games to open the season, and they have given the Hurricanes life going into the third period.
