Well, this one hasn’t been fun. The Carolina Hurricanes fell behind early in Detroit on Tuesday, and after the game reached a 3-0 score late in period one, Cam Ward took out his anger on his stick.

Ward allowed three goals on the Red Wings’ first eight shots, thanks in large part to defensive breakdowns, turnovers and an unfortunate bounce off of defenseman Brett Pesce.
Moments after Detroit’s third goal, Ward took a bad delay of game penalty as he baseball batted a puck out of mid-air and into the stands.
It can only get better from here, right?
