Watch: Joakim Nordstrom Scores His First Goal of the Season

In a tightly contested third period, it was the Hurricanes who broke the ice and took the lead.

After a dominant opening forty minutes from the Carolina Hurricanes, they needed someone to finally breakthrough on rookie goalie Aaron Dell, and they got that from Joakim Nordstrom.

It’s Nordstrom’s first goal of the season. Viktor Stalberg got the lone assist, his first as a Hurricane. The goal gave the Canes a 1-0 lead with 9:12 to go in the third period.
