Elias Lindholm made a fantastic play to break up a pass in the neutral zone, and he sprung Viktor Stalberg who netted his third goal of the season, the first shorthanded goal of his NHL career.
Lindholm picked up his fifth assist of the season and now has points in three consecutive games.
The Hurricanes have now killed off 22 consecutive penalties.
