Once again, the Carolina Hurricanes struck first. This time, it was the top line getting it done in the first period.

A good zone entry from Jeff Skinner led to Sebastian Aho throwing the puck on net from the boards, and it deflected off of Ottawa forward Tom Pyatt and past Craig Anderson.
Jordan Staal‘s net drive on the play was the key factor in giving the Canes an early advantage on the road.
It’s Aho’s third goal of the season. Skinner and Jaccob Slavin picked up the assists.
