Looking for your first goal of the season? If you see the Carolina Hurricanes on the schedule, you have to like your chances of notching it.

New Jersey Devils alternate captain Mike Cammalleri scored his first two goals of the year 3:25 apart in the second period of Sunday’s matchup with the Hurricanes at PNC Arena. The first, at 4:31, came off a defensive breakdown by Ryan Murphy, who was caught admiring Travis Zajac’s stick work and left Cammalleri all alone in Steven Stamkos’s office in the far circle.

Josefson pushed the puck up to Cammalleri, who had a brief 2-on-1 with Taylor Hall, and placed a shot perfectly under Eddie Lack’s arm to double the Devils’ lead.
