After a strong 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, you won’t be seeing much that’s different as far as the line-up goes tonight out of the Hurricanes. Here’s how they lined up for their morning skate today in San Jose.
Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen - Lee Stempniak
Jeff Skinner - Derek Ryan - Andrej Nestrasil
Brock McGinn - Victor Rask - Phil di Giuseppe
Joakim Nordstrom - Jay McClement - Viktor Stalberg
Jaccob Slavin - Brett Pesce
Ron Hainsey - Justin Faulk
Noah Hanifin - Matt Tennyson
Cam Ward
Michael Leighton
This will be the second time that the Hurricanes face the Sharks, the first meeting being a 1-0 victory in Raleigh during the Hurricanes’ five-game winning streak in November.
The Sharks took on the Ducks last night, dropping a 3-2 decision in Anaheim. They won’t have a morning skate today because of that, but here’s how they lined up in their game yesterday evening:
Patrick Marleau - Joe Thornton - Joe Pavelski
Kevin Labanc - Logan Couture - Joel Ward
Mikkel Boedker - Chris Tierney - Joonas Donskoi
Michael Haley - Tommy Wingels - Melker Karlsson
Paul Martin - Brent Burns
Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Justin Braun
Brenden Dillon - Dylan DeMelo
Martin Jones
Aaron Dell
Because Jones went last night, it’s possible that we’ll see Dell out there between the pipes for San Jose tonight. You may remember him from his strong performance against Carolina last time around, as he stonewalled the ‘Canes until Nordstrom finally potted the winner in the third.
I’d bet that based on that, head coach Pete DeBoer will make the decision to go with Dell tonight.
