You're forgiven if your loyalties are split today.

On the one hand, nothing says happy new year quite like wrapping yourself in Old Glory and going nuts cheering for Team USA to down those eeeeeeevil Canadians at the World Juniors.

On the other, with three Hurricanes prospects playing for Team Canada and Nicolas Roy showing some serious goal-scoring chops, you can be forgiven if you find yourself waving a tiny Canadian flag at the same time.

The undefeated Americans and the undefeated Canadians meet this afternoon at 3:30 at Air Canada Centre. The top spot in Group B is at stake, and the winner will face the fourth-place team in Group A to begin the knockout round tomorrow. The loser today will face Group A’s third-place finisher.

The game is available on NHL Network in the United States and on TSN in Canada. No online stream is available in the US, but if you know someone in Canada you can ask politely if you can borrow their TSN GO login.

Enjoy!
