The Carolina Hurricanes signed former Rangers forward, Viktor Stalberg to a one-year-deal today.  The contract will pay $1.5 million and is a one-way contract.

One might think that Ulf Samuelsson had some input in this signing.  Stalberg is a native of Sweden and he chipped in nine goals and 11 assists in 75 games last season.  He is 6'3, so will bring more size to the Canes lineup.  He was also credited with 144 hits.
