The Carolina Hurricanes added more depth to their blueline with the signing of Matt Tennyson to a one-year, two-way deal.  Tennyson is a right-hand shot who played 29 games for the Sharks last year.

The 6'2 defenseman will also give a bit more size to the blueline although he only had 23 hits in those 29 games last season.  He chipped in with one goal and three assists.
