Coach Bill Peters did not have an immediate update on Ward’s status for tonight after the skate, but he didn't sound overly concerned about Ward’s availability.
Columbus heads to Raleigh coming off an 2-1 overtime victory over the Philadelphia Flyers Sunday in Columbus. After arriving in Raleigh, John Tortorella announced that starting goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was suffering from an illness and would be unavailable for tonight’s contest. The Blue Jackets had just lost Curtis McElhinney on waivers to the Toronto Maple Leafs, meaning that Anton Forsberg and Joonas Korpisalo both got the call from the AHL Cleveland Monsters and Forsberg will make his first start of the season tonight.
