Coming off a four game home swing in which they won each contest, the Hurricanes return to the road tonight to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets, a team that one of those wins came against. Here’s how they lined up in the morning skate:
Jeff Skinner - Victor Rask - Derek Ryan
Brock McGinn - Jordan Staal - Elias Lindholm
Sebastian Aho - Teuvo Teravainen - Lee Stempniak
Joakim Nordstrom - Jay McClement - Viktor Stalberg
Jaccob Slavin - Brett Pesce
Klas Dahlbeck - Justin Faulk
Noah Hanifin - Matt Tennyson
Cam Ward
Alex Nedeljkovic
Nedeljkovic is expecting to serve as the back-up for Ward tonight in what is his first call-up to the NHL level. Ron Hainsey is a game-time decision. These were the pairings from the morning skate, but if he can’t go, Dahlbeck will draw in and we should expect the pairings to be shuffled.
On the opposite side of the ledger, here are the lines and pairings we should be seeing out of the Jackets this evening:
Brandon Saad - Alex Wennberg - Nick Foligno
Boone Jenner - Brandon Dubinsky - Cam Atkinson
Matt Calvert - William Karlsson - Josh Anderson
Scott Hartnell - Lukas Sedlak - Sam Gagner
Zach Werenski - Seth Jones
Jack Johnson - David Savard
Ryan Murray - Scott Harrington
Sergei Bobrovsky
Joonas Korpisalo
The Hurricanes saw goalie Anton Forsberg a week ago in their win over the Blue Jackets, but it looks like they won’t have the good fortune of avoiding Bobrovsky again tonight. If Carolina wants to get another two points, they’ll have to solve one of the best goalies in the league to do so.
