The 2017 World Juniors gold-medal game has gone back and forth all night, with Canada losing a 2-0 lead to two goals by the United States. But as has become customary, it’s a Hurricanes prospect doing scoring the big goals to give Canada the lead.
Tonight, it’s Nicolas Roy doing the honors, putting Canada up 3-2 with a snipe midway through the third period. You’re forgiven if your loyalties are split the rest of the evening, although now that Roy’s goal won’t stand up as the game winner, uh...go USA.
