Game Notes
- The Oilers will come into tonight trying to snap a 3 game losing streak after winning their opening night game. Expect for them to come out with some fire on home ice tonight.
- The Hurricanes trail all-time with a record of 24-36-14 record against the Oilers. That includes an abysmal 8-23-7 track record when playing in Edmonton, where they haven’t won since December of 2011.
- The Hurricanes and Oilers split their 2016-17 two game season series as both teams won on home ice.
- Bill Peters said yesterday that Martin Necas will likely play tonight in Edmonton. Furthermore, Trevor Van Riemsdyk, who was injured in the home opener, has joined the team in Canada but will not play tonight. Get the whole scoop here.
