Tonight is game four of the young season for the Carolina Hurricanes, and they’ll take on the high-flying Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place.

After starting the year with a dramatic 5-4 shootout win over the Wild, the Canes have lost twice, scoring zero even-strength goals against the Blue Jackets (2-1 OTL) and Jets (2-1 loss).

Bill Peters is making some much-needed changes to his lineup, as Martin Necas, Josh Jooris, and Trevor Carrick will all draw into the lineup. Predictably, Cam Ward will also make his first start of the season as he regularly gets the net when the Canes visit the Oilers.

The forward lines will look a little different tonight for Carolina and the defensive pairings will go back to what has worked since the end of last season.

Here’s how the Hurricanes will lineup.

Teuvo Teravainen - Jordan Staal - Justin Williams
Jeff Skinner - Victor Rask - Derek Ryan
Sebastian Aho - Martin Necas - Elias Lindholm
Joakim Nordstrom - Marcus Kruger - Josh Jooris

Jaccob Slavin - Brett Pesce
Noah Hanifin - Justin Faulk
Haydn Fleury - Trevor Carrick

Scott Darling

Scratches: Janne Kuokkanen (Healthy), Brock McGinn (Healthy), Klas Dahlbeck (Healthy), Trevor van Riemsdyk (Concussion), Lee Stempniak (IR - Upper-body)

Injuries to Leon Draisaitl, Andrej Sekera, and Drake Caggiula could hinder the Edmonton Oilers tonight as they look to improve on what has been a rough 1-3-0 start.

Laurent Brossoit will get the start for Edmonton after making a pair of relief appearances in the first couple weeks of the season. In those appearances, he has a .926 save percentage.

There will be a pair of familiar faces in the bottom-six as Jussi Jokinen and Brad Malone will both draw into the lineup for the Oilers.

Here’s how the Oilers will look on Tuesday night.

Patrick Maroon - Connor McDavid - Kailer Yamamoto
Milan Lucic - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Ryan Strome
Jujhar Khaira - Mark Letestu - Zack Kassian
Jussi Jokinen - Brad Malone - Anton Slepyshev
