Game Notes
- Bill Peters said after yesterday’s practice that Scott Darling would get the call this afternoon, after Cam Ward turned in a great effort in a losing cause Friday against the Blues.
-
Teuvo Teravainen is skating this morning and will be a game-time decision. Janne Kuokkanen is the logical fill-in if Teravainen can’t go, but the Canes could also elect to put Kuokkanen in the lineup for the first time in nearly two weeks even if Teravainen does play, so stay tuned.
- Today’s game will break a tie in the all-time series: each team has won 14 times in history, with six ties as well. The Canes were 0-1-1 against the Ducks last season.
- Broadcasting notes: because of Panthers football on 99.9, today’s game will be broadcast on Buzz Sports Radio. Also, for out-of-town fans, the game today is the daily freebie on NHL.tv, so you can watch from anywhere.
- Canes Country will also have coverage of the Charlotte Checkers game Sunday afternoon as they take on the Utica Comets at 1 p.m.
