Game Notes
- The Hurricanes lead the series all-time with a 17-12-4 record, including a 9-5-3 record at home.
- Tonight marks the fourth and final meeting between the two teams this season. The Blue Jackets took the October 10th matchup in PNC Arena in overtime and the November 28th game in Columbus in a shootout decision, while the Hurricanes beat the Blue Jackets once in enemy territory on November 10th.
- The Hurricanes impressed against the Jackets last season, earning a 3-1-0 record against one of the strongest teams in the league.
- The Canes have earned a point in 15 of their last 18 games against the Blue Jackets, posting an 11-3-4 record during that stretch.
- Jordan Staal earned his first multi-goal game with the Hurricanes on the November 10th win in Columbus.
- The Hurricanes are 6-for-6 on the penalty kill against the Blue Jackets this season, and have killed off their last 17 penalties vs Columbus, dating back to April of 2016.
- Tonight is also the second Homegrown Series game of the season, so enjoy some chicken & waffles and pick up a T-shirt from Oak City Collection, among other promotions!
