While parts are moving off the ice in terms of management, the players on the ice will once again look for consistency tonight against the San Jose Sharks. The Hurricanes are fresh off being shut out by the Vancouver Canucks and head coach Bill Peters has jumbled his lines as a result.
While the Hurricanes continue to soul search, the Sharks sit comfortably in a wild card spot, thanks in part to an elite penalty kill that ranks second in the league. However, San Jose is just 7-6-1 at home. It will be tough for an offense-starved team like the Canes to grab two points against the team allowing the fewest number of goals in the league.
Here are tonight’s lines:
Jeff Skinner - Jordan Staal - Justin Williams
Sebastian Aho - Derek Ryan - Teuvo Teravainen
Brock McGinn - Victor Rask - Elias Lindholm
Joakim Nordstrom - Marcus Kruger - Phil Di Giuseppe
Jaccob Slavin - Brett Pesce
Klas Dahlbeck - Justin Faulk
Noah Hanifin - Trevor van Riemsdyk
Cam Ward
Scott Darling
And for the Sharks:
Timo Meier - Joe Thornton - Joe Pavelski
Melker Karlsson - Logan Couture - Tomas Hertl
Jannik Hansen - Chris Tierney - Kevin Labanc
Marcus Sorenson - Barclay Goodrow - Joel Ward
Paul Martin - Brent Burns
Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Justin Braun
Joakim Ryan - Dylan Demelo
Martin Jones
