Game Notes

  • The Hurricanes lost 5-0 to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. This marks the 2nd time in the last five games that the Hurricanes were shut out.
  • It’s the last game for the Hurricanes before their bye week, which lasts through Thursday afternoon. The Canes aren't back in game action again until Friday when they host the Colorado Avalanche.
  • Tyler Seguin is Dallas’ leading scorer with 51 points (20 goals, 31 assists) in 55 games. He ranks 3rd in the NHL with 205 shots.
  • Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk ranks fifth among defensman with 10 goals this season. Faulk is second on the Hurricanes in ice time with 22:47 per game.
  • Dallas beat Carolina in both of their match-ups during the 2015-16 season. This will be the first of two meetings between the two teams this season, with the second game being played on April 1st at PNC Arena.
