Watch: Jordan Staal Scores Off of Beautiful Tic-Tac-Toe Passing to Give the Hurricanes a 1-0 Lead

Staal’s jersey tying 11th of the year made it a 1-0 game in Raleigh.

After a great early penalty kill, the Carolina Hurricanes wasted little time to pick up the first lead of the hockey game.

Some gorgeous tic-tac-toe passing from the top of the circle, to the goal line and to the front of the net set up Jordan Staal for his 11th goal of the season, giving the Canes a 1-0 lead over the Edmonton Oilers.

Elias Lindholm (18) and Jaccob Slavin (17) got the assists on the tally.
