Game Notes

  • The Canes begin a two-game road trip to the only two teams worse than them in the league standings tonight. After tonight, they take a short flight to Denver where they face the Avalanche on Tuesday.
  • Carolina leads all-time in their series against the Coyotes, they’re 37-30-8 including an impressive 20-15-2 on the road.
  • Carolina and Arizona will have met two times in the 2016-17 season, in Raleigh last Friday and in Glendale tonight.
  • The Hurricanes are 5-0-0 in the last five games they’ve played in Glendale, dating back to December 3, 2005.
  • In 25 games played since January 1st, the Canes lead the league with a 54.4 faceoff win percentage.
  • Swedish forward Elias Lindholm registered four assists in two games against the Coyotes last season. This season, the Hurricanes are 13-3-1 in games when Lindy registers an assist. An anemic offense could certainly use a push from Lindholm tonight.
